Coventry for Foodies

One of the best ways to experience Coventry’s eclectic mix of cultures is through the flavour-tingling options available when it comes to food and drink. One thing’s for sure when you’re in Coventry - you won’t go hungry.

1. Sample Caribbean essence and flavour at Esmie’s Caribbean Kitchen, Mexican cuisine from Selminas on Spon Street, Korean barbecue from Jinseon and Japanese fare from SHIN and Hana Moon, as well as steak, French, Brazilian and plenty of restaurants serving up classic British dishes. You can taste your way around the world right here in Coventry!

2. Explore Coventry’s creative quarter in FarGo Village, rich in independent food and drink producers, restaurants and chefs. For vegan options, check out options such as Dirty Kitch, which brings home-style southern cooking to the UK.

3. Make time for a quintessential Afternoon Tea in the stunning surroundings of Coombe Abbey.

4. Hunt for bargains in Coventry Market, which has everything you can think of, including a deli counter, bakery, fruits and vegetables, perfume and cosmetics, clothing, carpets and more.

5. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, dessert cafes like Heavenly Desserts will have you smiling. Don’t forget to try a Coventry God Cake while you’re in town, available from our very own shop on Hertford Street!

6. Visiting between 1 July and mid-October? Don’t miss the festival vibe at Assembly Festival Garden with plenty of street food options to fill you up in between shows.
