Coventry Moves

Directed by Justine Themen
Made with the people of Coventry

Online, on the radio and on your timeline.

A city-wide celebration, Coventry Moves is the first major moment of our year as UK City of Culture on Saturday 5 June. Coventry Moves will be a playful and engaging introduction to Coventry, its stories, and its people, and will be an opportunity for every home in Coventry to be part of our year as UK City of Culture.

The day-long celebration will tell the story of Coventry’s pioneering identity and how it continues to shape its future and give voice to the many people that call the city their home.

Coventry Moves will be a day of moments and shared experiences, designed to be enjoyed from home online, on the radio and on your timeline.

Tune in to coventry2021.online on the day, and follow across our @Coventry2021 social media channels, to experience the action as it unfolds.

YOUR GUIDE TO COVENTRY MOVES TOGETHER

On Saturday 5 June, we are inviting people across the city and beyond to join in with Coventry Moves – a massive celebration of the city to be enjoyed from your own doorstep.

These streams will weave a musical tapestry across the city, turning Coventry and its radio stations into a giant surround sound system.

In order to get the full effect, we need you to connect with your neighbours in advance to decide who’s tuning into which station. Then at exactly 20:21, using every possible radio device - portable radios, car stereos, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, Bluetooth speakers and more – the residents of Coventry will come together to share in something beautiful.
