COVID-19 Updates

Coronavirus Latest

From 19 July, the Government have announced the continued easing of Coronavirus restrictions in England, with social distancing no longer mandatory.

Coventry City of Culture Trust will continue to stage events in line with advice from the Government, with the safety and comfort of our audiences remaining our priority.

The changes announced, and the guidance issued, are intended to ensure that activity is safe for our audiences, artists and Team members.

As such, the Trust will continue to:

  • Require mask wearing by all visitors and team members in high density, indoor areas
  • Undertake enhanced cleaning procedures
  • Encourage all visitors to undertake lateral flow testing prior to travelling to an event
  • Insist that all visitors use the Track & Trace app, or provide contact details at point of entry (or booking)

We will also:

  • Set capacities to 75% of the normal venue capacity
  • Pilot “socially distanced zones” in indoor venues for those that would like extra space
  • Regularly review our approach, responding to feedback and any additional official guidance

We remain committed to keeping all who wish to enjoy a City of Culture event safe, and look forward to welcoming you to an event very soon.
