What's On for Schools

Check this section regularly for booking information on performances, workshops and other opportunities available for schools.

The City of Culture year offers a range of activities for schools of all types including Primary, Secondary, Special Schools, and PRUs.

Coventry Cultural Education Partnership

Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 are delighted to be part of the Coventry Cultural Education Partnership.

CCEP is a network of professionals and organisations that offer learning opportunities for children and young people between the ages of 0-30 years in Coventry.

It includes people from the creative and cultural sector, from formal education settings such schools, universities, and colleges, and from early years and informal education providers.

Schools can find regular updates on all things CCEP related. The Cultural Champions network of nominated teachers is a major bonus for the City, helping develop the creative offer in every City school.

Our stories hub is a place for teachers and support staff to find inspiration, examples of good practice and updates on the successes as part of schools' creative work.

A developing selection of case studies, feedback and reports that will showcase the amazing work happening in schools as we look to provide the launchpad for future cultural activity.

Teacher’s packs, supporting materials, CPD films and more.

Visit our resources section for a growing selection of helpful content produced by Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 as part of our year in the spotlight. Additional information will also be supplied form supporting projects.

Here, teachers can find a wealth of ideas, inspiration and practical tips for creative teaching as well as practical assets for use in the classroom.

City of Culture and Schools

Calling all Warwickshire Teachers

Do you want to receive regular updates about the City of Culture’s Schools programme? There are a host of events across the year open to schools from outside of the City, from early years to post 16 settings, covering multiple creative disciplines and curriculum areas.

In the City, the Cultural Champions structure means that nominated teachers receive regular information on creative projects, helping the right staff bring the right opportunities into school. We would like to send these opportunities to teachers from schools outside of the city.

To join the mailing list for regular school-specific updates, please email your name, school and job title (or subject/year group lead if more appropriate) to Education & Young People Programme Manager Andy Reeves: [email protected]
