Find out more about how Coventry people are transforming ordinary streets into extraordinary art trails.
From 20 February to 19 March 2021, streets across Coventry and Warwickshire lit up their front windows and gardens and became beautiful walking trails. Thanks to support from The National Lottery Community Fund, we worked with amazing people across the city who were determined to get their local communities involved.
Window Wanderland is part of #LoveCoventry, a Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 programme funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
During Coventry’s year as UK City of Culture, Coventry Artspace is administering 21 x £500 bursaries for local artists to create work for Coventry communities, bringing the work of locally based artists to Coventry neighbourhoods.
In the first round five artists were selected to show their work in the windows and entrances of public buildings around the suburbs of Coventry, making their unique art visible and accessible to the public. Check them out below. (Photos by Jamie Gray)

The Artist on my Street project is funded by Arts Council England, National Lottery Community Fund, Coventry City Council and Coventry City of Culture Trust (CCCT) and builds on the Window Wanderland trails led by CCCT in 2021.
Artist on my Street is inspired by artists all over the world who have found ways to bring moments of light to their neighbourhoods during the pandemic by sharing their work in windows, balconies and on the streets.
The second round of bursaries are open now for applications.
