Joining forces for the 1st time, 4 artists from Coventry – Photographer John Whitmore, Illustrator & Monster Maker Emma O'Brien, Artist Anita Sunger* and Maker of Tiny Glass Stuff Amanda Glanville have been given the fantastic opportunity to transform a space in Coventry's iconic Holy Trinity Church, Broadgate in City of Culture year.
As ‘Plaid Moon’ they’ve worked together on an approachable, thought-provoking exhibition which will chime with Coventry Kids young & old, adopted Coventry Kids & visitors alike.
Large-scale photographs of Coventry become intriguing sculptures you can walk around. Get up close to see if you can recognise the places and even closer to spot the non-photographic things that should (or shouldn't!) be there. There are drawn, painted and tiny glass clues to what WAS there, and dreams of what could be.
Follow the trail of smaller artworks around the church and enjoy the many beautiful things permanently on display.
* Sadly Anita has withdrawn due to illness. John, Amanda and Emma feel that they are still a team of 4 and want to acknowledge her involvement.
