Join us in Coventry for the world premiere of 2 Tone: The Sound of Coventry, the film that tells the remarkable story of how a global music sensation was born in Coventry.

2 Tone: The Sound of Coventry is part of the BBC’s commitment to Coventry UK City of Culture 2021. It has been commissioned by BBC England and is a co-production between Coventry UK City of Culture Trust and Full Fat Television.

This special hour-long documentary takes a deep dive into the history of the 2 Tone movement in Coventry. It features a rare interview with Jerry Dammers, founder of the 2 Tone movement revealing how he came up with the ideas behind the 2 Tone revolution.

After watching the film, you will have the opportunity to put your questions to some of the key people at the heart of the 2 Tone scene, as they join a panel discussion to chat about all things 2 Tone, the making of the film, and much more.

Tickets will be allocated by random draw, with 70% of tickets going to those with CV postcodes20% to those with ST, TF, WV, WS, DY, HR, WR, B and NN postcodes and 10% of tickets going to the rest of the UK.

Assembly Festival Garden is located in Coventry City Centre near the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum and 200m metres from Coventry Cathedral. There are two main entrances to Assembly Festival Garden, one to the west and one to the east. The western entrance is located on Little Park Street, CV1 2LU and at what3words ///like.stage.finely. This is also where you can find the ticket office. The eastern entrance is located on Much Park Street, CV1 2LU and at what3words ///gone.unique.drag

Both these entrances are step-free and each performance space has step-free access with the exception of the Treehouse.

We welcome all assistance dogs into Assembly Festival Garden including guide dogs and hearing dogs and our front of house team will be on hand to offer any assistance you might need.
