After the success of the last CRCM event, ‘Party in City’ in 2019, the festival will be returning rebranded with new attractions, music, and dances from around the world. ‘In the city’ is set to take place on Saturday 25th September, Broadgate and Shelton Square.
The festival is a free event open to the public and aims to celebrate, integrate, and educate.
Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre are at the heart of the refugee and migrant communities within Coventry, welcoming and empowering asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in Coventry to rebuild their lives and achieve their potential.
Overview of ‘In the City’
‘IN THE CITY’ is a festival dedicated to promoting unity and empower others. There will be live performances from dance legend Louis Lewinson, Coventry poet John Bernard + many more. Taking place in the main square of Broadgate, experience live installations and art exhibitions. Try different cuisines and learn to cook with ‘World on a plate’ live food demos. Alongside Broadgate, Shelton square will be hosted by Hillz FM DJs and local spoken word artists. IN THE CITY festival is for Coventry, to celebrate, integrate and educate.
