TERRY HALL presents HOME GROWN

As part of his HOME SESSIONS festival, curator Terry Hall is offering all local musicians an incredible opportunity to be a part of the festival line-up and perform on-stage in their home city.

HOME SESSIONS is a four-day festival of live music, DJ Sets, Film and Spoken Word taking place in iconic city centre venues between Thursday July 29 and Sunday August 1.

Selected local musicians will appear alongside Coventry music scene alumni and international performers including The Libertines, Pete Doherty, Roni Size, Lightning Seeds, Alabama 3, The Pop Group, Alan McGee, Daddy G and Queen Bee.

Festival organisers are calling out for all musicians and artists aged 18+ who live in a CV postcode to put themselves forward. On-stage spots for all music and spoken word genres are available, including but not limited to:

  • Solo Artists
  • Bands
  • DJs
  • Duos
  • Electronic Artists
  • Choir
  • Poetry Rap


Musicians wanting to apply must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Live in a CV postcode 
  • Provide their own instruments / equipment (House backline provided). 
  • Available between Thursday 29th July and Sunday 1st August
  • Aged 18 on the day of their performance
  • Be able to supply a link to least one video or audio file of your performance / track

How to apply
Complete the online application form including at least one, (no more than two) links to a video or audio file of your performance / track for the judges to review. You can supply a link for YouTube, SoundCloud or Soundmix.

Judging Criteria
The final selection of acts will made using multiple criteria including the number of applications from  each genre, your availability and technical requirements. All applicants will be contacted whether successful or not.

HOME SESSIONS: RONI SIZE & DREAD MC + FELIX HALL AND SPECIAL GUEST JOSSY MITSU

With an open ear to all eras and styles Felix Hall, the NTS resident brings eclecticism and an element of surprise to the sometimes purist worlds of dancehall and reggaeton. Known for her ability to shell down any club, Jossy Mitsu is an artist fast becoming one of the UK’s brightest talents and continues as a sought-after selector. Special Guest is the legendary Joy Orbison, his brand of garage-house has been globally celebrated. His notorious mixes for Radio 1 and Ministry have only served to cement his renown. Mercury Prize winner, Drum ‘n’ bass Legend Roni Size plays a headline DJ Set with Special Guests Dynamite MC and Dread MC.
