Tender for Apprenticeship Programme Training Provider

Coventry City of Culture Trust is committed to providing 15 entry level apprenticeship opportunities for 15 young citizens to join the Coventry 2021 team for up to 18 months.

This opportunity is targeted at Coventry’s residents aged from 16-25 years. Interested individuals do not need to have lots of qualifications and experience and do not have to already be part of the arts and culture scene. This may be their first job and first experience of working within any organisation.

Coventry City of Culture Trust seeks to appoint a training provider (or consortia of providers) with experience of apprenticeship programme delivery in Coventry and Warwickshire, to deliver a high quality, engaging, learning programme that ensures completion of 15 apprenticeships. The appointed provider/s (with one required ‘lead provider’) will ensure that the 15 apprentices reach the required apprenticeship standards and achieve other associated qualifications whilst ensuring activity matches the Trust’s values and aspirations for the overarching apprenticeship programme and as part of a partnership based approach.

Young Creatives Call Out for Coventry Moves

Led by the Co-Directors Justine Themen and Nigel Jamieson, ‘Coventry Moves’ will be a spectacular event in the city’s year of culture.

We are looking for five artists aged 18 – 30 from Coventry and the surrounding area to join us in shaping the themes and content for this large-scale spectacle.

Exceptional applications from 14 years plus will also be considered.

If you are a young writer, an ideas creator, musically based, an artist, a dancer, a performer or any other kind of artist or creative – this is an opportunity for you to work creatively on an ambitious project to represent the people of Coventry.

#ReformTheNorm Micro-Commissions for D/deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodivergent Artists

The Coventry City of Culture Trust has formed a new partnership with Unlimited, a national arts commissioning programme that enables new work by disabled artists to reach UK and international audiences.

Through this partnership, we are inviting d/Deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent artists who live and/or regularly work within a CV postcode (this covers Coventry and parts of wider Warwickshire) to apply for ten micro commissions of up to £1,000 each.

These micro commissions are open to artists of any discipline and of any level to either; create new work, enhance their skills and/or explore different creative processes within the Trust’s key themes.

Deadline – Friday 21 August 2020, 12 noon

Invitation of Interest in Public Realm Projects

As part of the UK City of Culture readiness programme and to fulfill the partnership legacy ambitions beyond 2021 – we are inviting all West Midlands, national (UK) and international creatives to submit their interest, proposals, and/or portfolio, in order to be considered within call-outs for current and upcoming public realm regeneration schemes, citywide redevelopment projects and cultural programmes.

The aim is to create a diverse catalogue/database of work and a register of interested artists that can be considered by Coventry City Council and the Coventry City of Culture Trust for future projects.

We are keen to engage local artists to help us create beautiful places for the people of Coventry in what promises to be an exciting year. The nature of the projects is varied and covers all elements of public realm, from garden projects to construction projects, from lighting to street art. We want to talk to you whatever your speciality and whatever your size. Projects will range in budget from very small to several hundred thousand pounds – and we want to invite you to become part of this journey during 2020 and as we progress into 2021.
