This Easter, children will transform themselves into colourful living sculptures and walk along the runway in their extravagant junk modelled outfits, creative headdresses and more.

We will be expressing ourselves through different mediums of art using recyclable materials and making an array of textured art pieces to take home.

Takes place every day 9-23 April (excluding Sundays) at 10.30am - 3.30pm. Pay on the door - no need to book in advance. Designed for age 3+, but all are welcome. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

DAILY ACTIVITIES

Sat 9, Mon 11 & Tue 12 Apr

Junk Modelling Outfits – Re-fashion sustainable eco-friendly outfits using everyday recyclable materials, including newspaper/bubble wrap. Embellish your creations with plastic trinkets, shells, feathers and other materials. Wear your colourful artwork and walk the covered court runway.

Wed 13 & Thu 14 Apr

Recycling Accessories - Learn the fascinating and simple process of making costume beads out of recycled paper. Turn them into a bracelet to wear or to give as a gift.

Fri 15 & Sat 16 Apr

Beautiful Brooches - Taking inspiration from the extravagant details in Daniel Lismore's work, create your very own glamorous brooch. Shape your art piece by forming unique patterns, such as skulls or butterflies by attaching string on to card. Enhance your designs with foil and acrylic paint. Don’t hold back with the embellishments, generously scatter jewels, buttons and sequins. Wear your stylish creation proudly, or gift to someone.

Mon 18 & Tue 19 Apr

Creative Head Dresses - We will be taking inspiration from Daniel Lismore, described by Vogue Magazine as “England's Most Eccentric Dresser.” Focusing on the captivating headdresses we are going to make our own using baseball caps, newspaper, wire, tape and other materials. Children will wear their creations to walk the covered court runway if they wish to.

Wed 20 & Thu 21 Apr

Selfie Masks – Craft a self-portrait mask inspired by the beautiful Daniel Lismore masks. Create a representation of yourself by painting a representation of yourself onto a base. Embellish your art with an assortment of wool, metallic pens and trinkets for added glamour.

Fri 22 & Sat 23 Apr

Sustainable Art Garlands - An expressive and sustainable activity. Shape recycled cardboard into different sizes, to make your own glamorous garland. Paint designs and drawings to the cardboard to add your own unique and personalised expressions. Finally Embellish with pompoms, sequins, wooden beads and even natural resources of flowers and leaves.
