WITH HENRY MATTHEWS

Try the Learn to Skate Club and learn how skating can help with your creativity and combat mental health issues.

During these workshops, we’ll create a skateboarding-

based community around being able to learn together and support each other. We’ll teach you the basics of skateboarding: how to push, balance and ride a skateboard.

There will also be a focus on creativity, letting you express yourself in a creative way, helping combat loneliness and enhance wellbeing .

Join our fun, friendly and inclusive atmosphere as we all learn together. The sessions are aimed at teenagers aged 13-18 but are open to everyone.

WHAT IS TRY IT?

Try It! is a programme encouraging Coventry residents to have a go at a range of new, and often quirky, health-giving creative activities during our year as UK City of Culture.

We believe in social prescribing – the idea that, by taking part in community activities, we can all improve our health and wellbeing.

This project aims to enhance the lives of community members and leave a lasting legacy of creative activities in Coventry.

For each workshop, you can book tickets online or pay at the door.
