WITH NIKKI BOVIS-COULTER

Join the EnviroArt club and relax the mind by creating lovely patterns with natural goods and everyday objects.

At each workshop, we will explore a different theme focusing on an everyday object. Using these items, we will create patterns – as intricate or simple as you like. Then, we will photograph the designs (which are only temporary) and replicate and mirror them to make lovely kaleidoscope patterns.

This part of the workshop is relaxing and therapeutic - it isn’t rushed and can take up to an hour. It is suitable for people with negative mental health, anxiety and memory loss as it gives a sense of relaxation, sensory stimulation and creative achievement. Each session will also have a related activity with a take-away craft for the participants to enjoy.

WHAT IS TRY IT?

Try It! is a programme encouraging Coventry residents to have a go at a range of new, and often quirky, health-giving creative activities during our year as UK City of Culture.

We believe in social prescribing – the idea that, by taking part in community activities, we can all improve our health and wellbeing.

This project aims to enhance the lives of community members and leave a lasting legacy of creative activities in Coventry.

For each workshop, you can book tickets online or pay at the door.
