Assembly Festival Garden, Coventry
Duration: 11am - Late

Cov Pride is back with community, education, comedy, plays, roaming performers, and a celebration spreading over the city. Celebrate a weekend of ‘Pride and Joy’ never to be forgotten.

Coventry Pride will be taking over the Assembly Festival Garden on Sunday 8 August to create a Garden of Pride and Joy, a space to sit and laugh over tasty local food and drinks, and to reconnect as a family of diverse communities.

The first 500 FREE tickets, which can be exchanged on the day for wristbands, are all sold out. Only free tickets for Ginny Lemon & Fwends and paid tickets for the Assembly Festivals shows are available to pre book. Limited walk-in tickets available at the door.

These FREE advanced tickets (along with limited walk up tickets) grant access to the Pride and Joy Assembly Festival Garden Takeover where you can relax and enjoy the roaming entertainment, in between joining in activities at the outdoor stage, Piccolo and Treehouse.

Activities begin at the outdoor stage from 11am with Impact Steel Band, a collection of performances from Pride community members and a few allies to keep you entertained and uplifted in the Piccolo and outdoor stage. Acts include The Saturnos - an award-winning drag queen duo, V4 - a fantastic 90s throwback tribute act and Cov Pride favourite, Jade Baradell, as well as national acts and bands like James Negus, Daniel Molyneux and Little Remix.

There will be joy and cabaret with performances from CaBIret at 1pm and Much Ado About Gender in the Treehouse at 6pm (this show is 18+ only).

In The Queen of Flanders, Ginny Lemon and Fwends, with their guests - Some Little Cakes, drag artist Chiyo and Miss Mama Mamba, will bring you a very fabulous hour or so of music, drag and provocative conversation. A few free tickets are available, book now to avoid disappointment!

Later in the evening, there will be My Father the Tantric Masseur, plus icon and drag legend Diane Chorley, as part of the Assembly shows. Tickets to be booked at Assembly’s website. Details are listed below.

There are limited capacities within each of the venues for the events listed above, so if you are keen to make it to a specific event arrive early to secure your place as all events are not individually ticketed but allow walk-ups with wristbands.
