Green Week is a week of events and education for all communities across Coventry and Warwickshire to get involved with. The aim is to educate about sustainability and evoke action at all levels from grassroots projects up to local government change.

About Green Week

Green Week has been produced in partnership with Coventry City of Culture Trust, University of Warwick, Coventry University, Coventry University Student Union, University of Warwick Student Union, and Coventry Council. With thanks to all our other partners and contributors across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Swap Shop

Time: 10am-4pm

Location: Warwick SU Atrium

A chance to swap out some of those clothes unworn with a new wardrobe.

10 Tips to Enhance Your (Green) Pitch

Time: 11am- 12pm

Location: Online

We explore 10 tips to improve your pitch to investors. In this one hour webinar we will discuss 10 tips you'll be able to apply to your pitch to make it more impactful to investors.

Suitable for: Early stage businesses in Coventry & Warwickshire, Community who want to start their own business in Coventry or Warwickshire and wish to explore investibility.

Disco Smoothie

Time: 10am-3pm

A party around smoothies made from surplus fruit that would otherwise have gone to waste. Pay as you feel event with funds going to charity.

Little Acorns Drop In Session at Moat House Park

Time:10am - 12pm

Location: Moat House Park Winston Avenue, Coventry, CV2 1EA - Free, Drop In Session

Suitable for: Families/Early Years

Please come and join us on Tuesdays in the park for these woodland wellbeing sessions where you and your little one/s can explore the park with Nature Tots fun activities with Anna from Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, relax and unwind in The Woodland Library with Coventry Libraries staff and have a cuppa and a biscuit under the canopy of trees.

Upcycling Textiles 

Time: 10am - 1pm

Suitable for: Community and Students

Taking old materials and fabrics that are past their best and using a combination of hand and machine sewing techniques to bring the items back into a new life.  This free session will be delivered by Claire Corbey, attendees will need to book in advance using the link above - please note places are limited to a maximum of 12 attendees.

About Green Week

What do we mean by sustainability? In the case of Green Week, we look to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These goals go beyond transport, energy and waste, seeking to end hunger and poverty, improve health and wellbeing, ensure quality education and gender equality, make our cities and industries more sustainable and protect life on land and in our oceans, to bring everyone together in partnership towards these goals. 

We want to promote how one small act can make a huge difference. Everything you do adds up, and if everyone contributes you have a huge impact. The actions you could take to make a difference can range from taking a shorter shower to eating vegetarian once a day. What you do is your decision!

There will be multiple events happening over Green Week across the University of Warwick, Coventry University and the local area. Some events at Warwick will include Disco soup, a Drop Swap and our Sustainability Summit

Ticket sales and registration for all events will be announced soon after finalising details.
