Coventry Cathedral is in Coventry city centre – 1.1 kilometres from Coventry train station and about 100 metres from Pool Meadow bus station.
The main entrance to the Cathedral is on Priory Street opposite Coventry University or St Michael’s Avenue from the City Centre. The postcode is CV1 5FB.
Parking
There is limited disabled parking (next to the Chapel of Unity on St Michael’s Avenue). There are two Blue Badge parking bays on Bayley Lane.
Drop Off Point: There is a drop off point on Priory Street, just in front of the steps and ramp leading up to the entrance for the new Cathedral, where there is no kerb.
The nearest public car parks to the Cathedral are 300 metres away at Cox Street CV1 5GA (short stay), Salt Lane CV1 2GY or Lower Ford Street CV1 5PS (long stay).
The main road outside the Cathedral (Priory Street) has a wide pavement. On the other side of the Cathedral, near the church of Holy Trinity, in Cuckoo Lane and Bayley Lane, there are many cobbled pathways and limited dropped kerbs.
Accessing The Cathedral
When you arrive at the new Cathedral from Priory Street, access is via seven steps to a landing and then a further thirteen steps. There are hand rails on either side.
Alternatively, there is a ramp leading around Coventry Cathedral Ruins up to the covered area between the two buildings.
To enter Coventry Cathedral there are two glass doors, measuring 90cm wide with 103cm between them, with level access.
Inside the Cathedral
There is a model of the Cathedral available to touch. This will be located in the main body of the Cathedral.
Please note that some areas of the Coventry Cathedral can only be reached via steps and so are not accessible to those using wheelchairs. The performance doesn’t require you to use these spaces.
Seating
The Cathedral seating can be quite uncomfortable. You may want to bring a cushion along with you to make yourself more comfortable.
All of the seats are removable, so if you are accessing the space in a wheelchair, you are welcome to sit wherever you like.

Toilets
There is an accessible toilet available at the Cathedral which can be found on the rear left hand side of the main space. There is a ramp to access this.
If you would benefit from being seated close to the toilet please let us know in advance and we will reserve space for you.
Changing Places Toilet
The nearest Changing Places Toilet is at Coventry Central Library, in the city centre, and approximately 1 kilometre away from the Cathedral.
