The Bee-lines project will create new pollinator pathways & wildflower meadows – planted citywide from cultural destinations to community container gardens. It will reconnect our greenspaces and make new pathways for people and pollinators across the city.
Coventry City of Culture Trust, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, Coventry City Council, The Canal and River Trust and the Historic Coventry Trust will be working with Coventry communities, cultural and educational organisations to deliver the project in multiple locations.
The aim is to activate green spaces in Coventry throughout Spring in time for the culmination of City of Culture and a city wide celebration in May Wildlife.
We are also encouraging the public to go wild with their planting and take pictures of their seeds and flowers in bloom in their gardens by tagging #greenfutures, @coventry2021, @heritagefunduk and @WKWT!
Supported by National Lottery Heritage Fund, Severn Trent Community Fund and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.
