Heart of England Community Foundation
The Heart of England Community Foundation is one of 48 community foundations supporting local communities across the UK. Established in 1995 they were one of four community foundations to be established in that year taking the total at that time to 17 in the United Kingdom.
Starting with a bursary of £3,000 they awarded just five grants in that first year totalling £2,000. Since then they have:
Awarded over £14 million to over 5,800 projects.
Grown their endowment to £7.9 million – a legacy for communities.
They aim is to build a legacy of support that can help to create and maintain thriving communities across Birmingham and the Black Country, Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.
