On 26 February Ex Cathedra choir performed When a Child is a Witness at Coventry Cathedral. Created with refugee communities in Coventry and pupils from Ravensdale Primary School, the performance will be available to watch here free of charge on Wed 8 June at 7pm and on YouTube and Facebook.
This powerful, emotional piece by Liz Dilnot Johnson brings different communities and artforms together - within the framework of a Requiem - in response to the human tragedy of war and displacement, and celebrates the offer of refuge and hope.
This performance, recorded live in February at Coventry Cathedral – next to the bombed ruins of the old building – was a particularly poignant moment during Coventry's City of Culture year.
Watch the trailer below, and the premiere at 7pm on Wed 8 June. This performance will be available to view online until the end of June 2022.
