Mander Hadley photography competition #WhatCoventryMeansToMe

23 November 2017

Coventry is a thriving multicultural city, abuzz with museums, galleries, theatres, restaurants, sports teams, two universities, stunning ancient and modern architecture, and an enterprising business community. It has also been our home for more than a century.

That is what Coventry means to us at Mander Hadley Solicitors and it is why we signed up as members of the Coventry 2021 Club.

There is a palpable sense of excitement here in Coventry about the prospect of being named UK City of Culture and the opportunities it brings to help re-imagine Coventry in the UK public consciousness.

That is why we have held a competition for art, design and photography students from Coventry College to submit works of art depicting ‘what Coventry means to me’.

In response, we received more than 80 works of art and it was a real challenge for us to whittle these down to just four finalists, such was the quality of the entries.

The four finalists in the competition will now each be prominently displayed outside our offices at 1 The Quadrant for a week in November, as the excitement builds before the big announcement. Find out more about the competition and the finalists by watching the following video:

Alongside the competition, and to mark the countdown to the announcement in December of the UK City of Culture 2021, we have launched the #WhatCoventryMeansToMe hashtag on Twitter.

We would like you to help celebrate all the things that are great about Coventry by tweeting, using the hashtag #WhatCoventryMeansToMe, about why Coventry holds a special place in your life.

The more creative your responses, the better!
