Our year as UK City of Culture will be a once in a lifetime event. We're looking to recruit 15 apprentices to join us in making this an incredible year for Coventry.

Just left school and thinking of your next steps? Or are you looking to change careers to the arts and cultural sector? Or have you never even considered a role in arts and culture? This is your chance to learn while gaining hands-on experience in a real job - and getting paid for it!

Are you seeking a career in Finance? This apprenticeship will provide you with all the skills required to follow your career dreams. As well as supporting you to complete associated qualifications such as AAT, you will learn from an experienced team to be able to reconcile accounts, report spending to budget holders, prepare sales invoices, prepare payment schedules, track and monitor supplier payments and much more.

Team Development Business Admin Apprentice

Do you have a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail? Be part of the best support team in the city and work with passionate, inspiring administrators who handle the day-to-day tasks in the office to make sure things run smoothly. It’s all about organising people and resources. Without you the team would not have all the things they need to do their job. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, work with suppliers, order and monitor stock, learn how to control budgets and negotiate, manage room bookings, get an understanding of HR, contribute to policies and procedures and so much more. Administration roles are an excellent starting point to move into management. Start your journey in a fast paced and diverse environment.

Marketing Apprentice

Ever wondered how brands grow and reputations are built? Want to know how to identify and target an audience? Want to be part of creating beautifully written, well designed and professional marketing campaigns to sell tickets? Working in the marketing department you’ll experience all areas of the Trust’s work and help us tell that story to our audiences. You will learn about how we use data to tailor our messaging to different audiences, how you can pick the perfect image to sell a show and how, even now, there is nothing that sells quite like a good old fashioned poster. Every day will be different and bring new challenges and opportunities to be creative ensuring the residents of Coventry, and beyond, can take full advantage of the events in 2021.

Are you a creative thinker with a passion for the written word? Want to produce content for a range of people, including the press? Are you always on the lookout for the next trending topic or following up-and-coming influencers? Working in the communications team you will learn how to produce engaging audio, photographic and graphical content for our social media channels and partners. You will carry out a range of tasks; research, event co-ordination and using technology to monitor our reach and learn how to reflect and evaluate on a campaigns success. Fundraising Apprentice

Do you enjoy meeting new people and sharing good news and opportunities? Want to assist with the Trusts events for our supporters and meet with varied networks of organisations to build new relationships? This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team that will collect the data required to ensure the Trust hits the impacts and outcomes desired from 2021. Do you have an eye for detail? Ticketing Apprentice

Ticketing is crucial to the success of any event when dealing with customers, especially when you are looking after tickets for multiple, unique events across a whole year. Are you able to talk to people and make them feel special? Can you listen to people when things aren’t going right and find a solution to keep them happy? Are you willing to embody the values of an organisation? Want a mixture of field based and office - based work? You will process ticket requests and provide an excellent level of service for our customers. Want to assist with the planning, delivery and review of commercial events such as festivals and high-profile performances? Working closely with the Production and Producing teams, you will ensure that Producers are equipped with the information and support required to perform to their highest ability. Creative Apprentice Producer 1 - Caring City

Are you passionate about your city, social change, working with communities and asking BIG meaningful questions and using creativity to find a solution? Working within the Caring City team you will explore key areas in producing that explore, event planning, artist liaison, supporting in shaping and programming events. You will explore key themes such as mental health, safety, social inclusion and homelessness.

Creative Apprentice Producer 2 - Youthful City

Youthfulness is an attitude, a gathering of mindsets, a synergy of creative and dynamic ideas to celebrate the people in our cities. You will be part of a cultural and creative skills exchange between Coventry and four international cities; Nairobi, Bogota, Detroit, and Beirut, culminating in the creation of four new artworks and an event which brings together the ideas and innovations from the exchanges into a 3-day Global Youth Summit in Coventry.

Creative Apprentice Producer 3 - Collaborative City

Creativity and culture are everywhere, all the time, in every community and on every street. Are you passionate about working with and empowering the citizens and communities of Coventry? Working as part of the Collaborative cities Team you will be co-creating projects with schools, libraries, community centres, family hubs, faith groups and local businesses to produce a locally relevant but globally connected programme. Coventry’s communities will be the ideas engine, the makers, the performers, the storytellers and the change makers.
