Join us in bringing Coventry to light this festive season!

You’re invited to take part in a large scale festive light installation in Coventry by creating drawings or objects for several hundred glass jars that will be suspended in the air and illuminated by self-powered micro-solar lights.

Using paper and translucent materials, come and create something in response to the question of what makes us ‘shine’, what lights us up and what light we give to others, which will then sit inside one of the glass jars.

Workshops will include basic drawing and cutting and some simple sculpting techniques, and will last for approximately one hour. You might choose to draw or write something, or to make something three dimensional using paper or card. No art and design skills are necessary, all you will need is enthusiasm and a little imagination.

Your work will then be placed into one of the glass jars so you can see it lit up. The jars will all be hung together as part of a public installation in Coventry.

This is a drop-in session between 1pm – 3pm at Voluntary Action Coventry, 27-29 Trinity Street CV1 1FJ on Thursday 14 November.

created By CREATMOSPHERE, an award-winning light-art studio.
