Wander through a magical winter wonderland of festive activities and snowy scenes before taking a ride on an enchanting vintage sleigh, pulled by two trusty reindeer. Your next stop? Lapland. Meet Santa, tell him your Christmas wishes, receive a magic key and collect your gift from our elf’s toy shop.
So, what’s new for 2019?
A walk-through winter wonderland
A new toy shop experience
Revised pricing structure
Reduced admission into the museum for those who want to ‘make a day of it’
Santa’s Top Tip #1 It gets very busy as it gets near to Christmas so avoid the queues by coming to see Santa as soon as you can.
Santa’s Top Tip #2 Remember we are open in term time which is an ideal quieter time to bring pre-schoolers to enjoy their visit.
Santa’s Top Tip #3 Share your visit to see Santa using #visitsanta2019

Please note – During weekends and the last week of Christmas, visitors may be unable to queue for the ride once the queue length has exceeded a waiting capacity of 2.5 hours. Last admittance is 1 hour before the close of the ride. We reserve the right to close the ride at any time during busy periods.

The Vintage Sleigh Ride and Winter Wonderland is a separate activity to the museum\’s permanent exhibitions and museum admission tickets are not required. Heavily discounted admission tickets are available as an add-on to the sleigh experience for £2

Children: £8 with gift (two accompanying adults admitted free per child) Additional accompanying adults can be added for £1.50 per adult. E.g. 1 child riding with 4 accompanying adults would cost £11.00
