Works by Art & Language, Jonny Bark, James Bridle, Anna Katarzyna Domejko, Caitriona Dunnett, Fred Hubble, Smirna Kulenovic, Shiyi Li, Mengxia Liu, Ameera Sadiq and Lily Wales are hosted by Coventry University’s Lanchester Gallery.

Located within the architecturally striking modernist Graham Sutherland building, this exhibition assembles artworks that celebrate and resonate with research being undertaken in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, from socially engaged photography and contemporary painting, to illustration and experimental or disruptive media practices.

Highlights include large scale sculpture-collages rooted in the language of nuclear technologies, meticulous hand-drawn depictions of busy marketplaces and tender still life and landscape photography, as well as sculptural installations that respond to the material specificities of the Lanchester Gallery site. Works by Art & Language, a canonical artist group within British and international art history who were originally formed in Coventry, also feature within this exhibition.
