‘Medieval Coventry’s Women of Influence – Queen Isabella and Queen Margaret of Anjou’

On display at Drapers Hall as part of Heritage Open Days:

6 – 9 September 10am – 5pm
13 – 16 September 10am – 5pm

The Display: This series of exhibition panels will convey the very latest research on two women who made such a significant impact on 14th and 15th century Coventry. The display will demonstrate the importance of Coventry in the medieval period, a centre of architecture, art, music and drama of the very highest quality. A surprising amount of evidence for this ‘golden age’ in Coventry’s history survives and only now is its significance being fully appreciated at a national level.

The Project is managed by Medieval Coventry Trust and is supported by the Coventry City of Culture Great Place Project and the University of Oxford, with research provided by The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities (TORCH).
