Physical Fellowship- The UK’s only physical theatre festival for young people in connection with the national #iwill campaign brings together 400 young people taking part in performances employing social action to explore the role of human rights in society.

The Physical Fellowship: a four-day festival of physical theatre for young people. The festival includes workshops with visiting internationally acclaimed professional physical theatre companies and four evenings of performance created for the festival by young people from participating schools and youth groups working with Highly Sprung. Each evening will involve performances from schools, youth groups and a new production by Sprungsters.

This year the Physical Fellowship is celebrating 10 years!

We’ve handed responsibility back to our young performers, tasked to create a new piece, shaped entirely by their own ideas.

Four nights of inspiring, original devised physical theatre by young people. Including a headline performance of Seen But Never Heard by Sprungsters.

The week-long festival will showcase over 12 different performances all supporting young people to find a voice and carve a space for themselves in their future. Provocative pieces of physical theatre fuelling passions for social action.

The festival theme this year asks, ‘What makes us human?’ Exploring the unique characteristics and behaviours that define us. Inspired by stories celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Human Rights and the national Fly the Flag campaign. Gaining an understanding about human rights, the role they play and the significance they have in our modern lives.

The headline performance Seen But Never Heard by Sprungsters showcases the potential of physical performance by some of Coventry’s most talented young performers.

Monday 24th – Thursday 27th June, 7pm. Belgrade Theatre Coventry, CV1 1GS. 150 mins (with an interval of 20 mins)
