Open Day at The Weaver’s House
In Spon Street, one of the most historic streets in Coventry, The Weaver’s House has been restored to show how it would have looked in 1540.
Experience how John Croke, a Coventry narrow-loom weaver and his family would have lived and worked. You can also see a full-size replica of the loom he would have used. Explore the
working medieval garden showing the plants that would have been grown for food, flavouring, medicine and household use.
The house is very close to the city centre and therefore other local places of interest. Tea, coffee and homemade cakes are served on open days.
Please note the solar room containing the loom is accessed by ladder.
