Oak Farm Spring Foraging Course
We will meet at the Oak car park at 12pm, the course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on safe and sustainable foraging, as well as the laws relating to foragers.
This will be followed by a walk of around 2.5 hours, exploring the different habitats in and around Oak Farm, where we will identify the edible and poisonous wild plants and fungi that we find.
On the walk, we’ll stop a couple of times to enjoy some tasty homemade wild food refreshments, such as our delicious hogweed and wild garlic soup, moreish fruit leathers or a wild fruit cordial.
After the walk, we will head back to the meeting point to prepare a wild food lunch, based on what we have found. This usually includes a tasty wild food salad that we will pick on our walk, and perhaps a wild garlic pesto, or creamy mushrooms.
There are limited spaces available so please book your place online.
