Johnson Controls’ Automotive Experience division started production in the Coventry region in 1998. In October 2016, Johnson Controls completed the spin-off of its automotive business and the Coventry site became UK HQ of the successor company Adient. Today, the Coventry location employs around 140 people.
Adient is proud to back Coventry’s successful bid to be UK City of Culture 2021. As a major player in the automotive sector, an important employer in the West Midlands region and an innovative company, Adient, of course, wanted to support the bid. It is a great boost for the city to be 2021 UK City of Culture and show the world the outward looking approach of the city.
