On Tuesday the 12th May Coventry was illuminated to say thank you to our frontline staff and mark the 200th birthday of the Lady of the Lamp, Florence Nightingale. This year International Day of the Nurse help special significance as around the world healthcare professionals of all kinds battle to protect the public from the coronavirus outbreak and save lives. This project was a join effort by Coventry City Council, Coventry City of Culture Trust and Coventry BID. At 8pm on Tuesday the people of Coventry lit up their houses and windows to say thank you for the hard work that nurses, doctors and all frontline and NHS staff are doing 24/7.
