Terry Hall Presents Home Sessions

With Coventry Music Board, Local Artists and Mind

Terry Hall will return to Coventry to curate a three-day music event in the heart of the city.

It will showcase international legends and shine a light on the Coventry music scene.

Turner Prize

With Tate and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum

The Turner Prize 2021 will be held in Coventry's Herbert Art Gallery and Museum.

It's one of the best-known prizes for visual art in the world. Opening September 2021.

Faith

With the Royal Shakespeare Company

Faith will be 24 hours of music, theatre, installation and ritual across Coventry, co-produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

It will unfold an epic overarching story and can be enjoyed by audiences while social distancing.

Contains Strong Language

With the BBC, Writing West Midlands and Nine Arches Press

The BBC’s poetry and spoken word festival, Contains Strong Language, will come to Coventry in September 2021.

It will be the biggest celebration of poetry ever seen in the region.

CVX Festival

With Positive Youth Foundation, Arts Against Violence, Coventry Youth Partnership

CVX Festival will be a pioneering three-day arts activism festival curated by young people in the city.

JAY1 will co-produce live music for CVX with his brand ONE Wave.

The Walk

With Good Chance and Coventry Refugee & Migrant Centre

Coventry will welcome Little Amal, a 3.5-metre-tall puppet, as part of Good Chance Theatre's The Walk.

We'll work closely with the Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre, schools and local residents in the city to greet her.

The Tides Within Us

With Marshmallow Laser Feast, Historic Coventry Trust and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust

The Tides Within Us will be a stunning outdoor experience in Coventry's newly-formed Charterhouse Heritage Park.

Suitable for the whole family, it will engage your senses and fire your imagination.

Small Bells Ring

With Canals & Rivers Trust, Coventry Libraries, Studio Morison and Super Slow Way

Small Bells Ring, a magical specially designed canal boat crammed full of short stories, will visit Coventry in July 2021 in association with Coventry Libraries.

It will inspire a programme of readings, performances and discussions.

Theatre of Wandering

With Theatre OiBokkeShi, Entelechy Arts and Care Home Network

In a new production co-created and inspired by Coventry residents, this walk-about theatrical experience through the south-east of the city blurs the boundaries between fiction and reality.

SeaView

With The Belgrade Theatre, led by The Belgrade Theatre's Co-Artistic Director Corey Campbell.

SeaView will be a six-part digital television series developed by six emerging Midlands writers working with the Belgrade Theatre.

It will celebrate the aspirations of a Black, working class family exploring urgent questions around choice and circumstance.

The UK Asian Film Festival is coming to Coventry in 2021.

It's the world’s longest-running, and UK’s most loved, South Asian film festival.

Rivers of the World

With The Thames Festival Trust and SEND Schools

Rivers of the World will bring together Coventry's eight Special Needs Schools to create beautiful artwork inspired by our historic River Sherbourne.

Coventry Biennial

With Local Artists and Curators

The third Coventry Biennial will take place from October 2021 to January 2022.

This Biennial is called Hyper-Possible, referencing the radical nature of Coventry’s history.

Roundabout

With Belgrade Theatre and Paines Plough

The Belgrade Theatre will co-produce a series of performances alongside national new writing company, Paines Plough, in their unique and intimate pop-up theatre Roundabout.

CastAway

With Highly Sprung and the Canals and River Trust 

CastAway will be a major outdoor theatre show highlighting the environmental crisis.

It's being developed by Highly Sprung, a Coventry-based performance company.
